Una, June 8: As part of the preparations for the Una Municipal Corporation elections, the draft voter list has been published. Electoral Registration Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Una, Abhishek Mittal, stated that the voter list, prepared in accordance with the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Election Rules, 2012, is available for public inspection starting June 8, 2026.
He mentioned that the voter list can be inspected at the offices of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Una, the Una Municipal Corporation, and the Tehsildar Una. The qualifying date for the inclusion of names in the voter list has been set as April 1, 2026.
He explained that if an eligible person's name is missing from the list, or if there is a need for modification or correction of an entry, or to raise an objection regarding a name, the concerned individual can submit a claim or objection using the prescribed forms by June 18, 2026. Applications for this purpose can be submitted to the Revising Officer (Assistant Engineer, Una Municipal Corporation) or the Naib Tehsildar (Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Una).
He stated that Ankush Rana (Assistant Engineer, Una Municipal Corporation) and Satish Puri (Naib Tehsildar, DC Office Una) have been appointed as Revising Authorities to resolve claims and objections.
He urged all residents of the Municipal Corporation area to inspect the voter list and—if any errors are found or corrections are needed—to file a claim or objection within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring the election process remains transparent, fair, and error-free.
Mr. Mittal added that following the decision on claims and objections, any person dissatisfied with the Revising Officer's decision may file an appeal with the Appellate Authority—the Electoral Registration Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Una—between June 23 and June 30, 2026. Appeals will be disposed of by July 3. Furthermore, following the completion of all procedures, the final electoral roll will be published on or before July 4.
