Haroli/Una, March 23 (Rajveer Chopra):— Martyrs' Day was observed with great reverence and respect on March 23 at Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Government College, Haroli. On this occasion, the immortal martyrs—Sardar Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar—were remembered, and heartfelt tributes were paid to them through the offering of flowers.
The program was organized under the guidance of the college Principal, Dr. Rajendra Kumar. Paying homage to the martyrs' sacrifice, he stated that we must always remain prepared to fulfill our duties towards the nation. During the event, students and staff members paid their respects to the martyrs' sacrifice and resolved to follow in their footsteps.
Through speeches and patriotic songs, students—including Vishal, Sunny, and Bhanupriya—recalled the contributions of Martyr Bhagat Singh to the Indian freedom struggle. The Principal remarked that Bhagat Singh's life serves as a source of inspiration for the youth, and his ideals continue to ignite the spirit of patriotism even today.
Finally, all those present observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the martyrs and pledged to follow the path shown by them. Present on this occasion were Prof. R.S. Dadwal, Prof. Gurbaksh Rai, Prof. Dr. Shakuntala Rana, Dr. Richa Sharma, Dr. Bindiya Chandel, and Prof. Sachin, along with the entire staff of the college.
