Ratia/Fatehabad, July 31: A tribute ceremony dedicated to the 87th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Udham Singh was organized at Shaheed Udham Singh College of Nursing, Barota. College Director Dr. Gurmeet Kaur attended as the chief guest. The event was presided over by the College Principal, Shashikalavati Aruchalam. The proceedings began with the chief guest and other dignitaries paying floral tributes to the statue of Shaheed Udham Singh.
College staff members and students, including Dr. Narendra Singh Nadda, were present on the occasion. College Director Dr. Gurmeet Kaur Nadda stated that the life of Shaheed Udham Singh stands as an unparalleled example of patriotism, courage, and sacrifice.
By avenging the martyrs of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, he demonstrated the self-respect of Indians to the entire world. The younger generation should draw inspiration from his life and prioritize the national interest above all else. She remarked that the sacrifice of such great revolutionaries can never be forgotten, and we must resolve to follow the path shown by them.
Dr. Gurmeet Kaur emphasized that the sacrifice of Shaheed Udham Singh serves as a source of inspiration for every citizen of the country. His ideals teach us to move forward with a spirit of patriotism, service, and humanity. She urged the students to adopt discipline, dedication, and a sense of duty in their lives. She added that the nation can be made strong and prosperous only by drawing inspiration from the lives of such great martyrs.
