Nawanshahr - Vigilance Bureau Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar unit organized a district level awareness seminar today at KC College Nawanshahr under the theme 'Culture of Honesty for the Prosperity of the Nation' regarding the Vigilance Awareness Week. Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman participated as the chief guest in this seminar conducted under the guidelines of Chief Director Vigilance Bureau, Punjab Virinder Kumar. While SSP Vigilance Bureau Jalandhar Range Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu was present as special guest.
 Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman asked the government officials, employees, students, common people, social representatives etc. present during the event to initiate themselves for the eradication of corruption. He said that all should take an oath that they will not be part of any corrupt activity and will report to the competent authority if such activity comes to light. He said that in every sphere of life, all the work should be done with honesty and complete transparency, following the law and procedure, so that people do not face any problem.
 Addressing the seminar, SSP Vigilance Bureau Jalandhar Range Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu said that the cooperation of all sections is necessary for the eradication of corruption. He said that this social evil can be stopped smoothly with the help of youth. He appealed to the people and said that if any such action comes to their notice, they should report it to the Department's toll free number 1800-1800-1000, Anti-Corruption Line No. 95012-00200 or the nearest office of the Vigilance Bureau. can give information
He said that it is the moral responsibility of everyone to raise their voice against actions that harm the country, society and system. He said that corruption cannot be tolerated at any cost, for the elimination of which all sections should contribute. Meanwhile, an oath against corruption was also administered and an excellent program was presented by the students of the college.
