Jaito, January 27:- A press release issued by the Ferozepur Railway Division of Northern Railway on Tuesday said that on January 26, 2026, ticket checking staff members Mr. Sanjay Sah and Mr. B. L. Meena on Vande Bharat Express 26462 (Ferozepur Cantonment-Delhi) found a valuable laptop on seat number 71 of coach C-1. The owner of the laptop was not present.
Mr. Sanjay Sah kept the laptop safely with him and contacted the passenger by obtaining his mobile number through HHT (Handheld Terminal). The passenger Mr. Aman then told them that he had gone from Bathinda to Patiala but unknowingly left his valuable laptop in the train in his haste. The laptop contained important data.
On the return journey of the train, the passenger was called to Patiala station, where after verification, the laptop was handed over to him safely. The passenger was very happy to receive his laptop. He thanked the Indian Railways and the ticket checking staff.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Paramdeep Singh Saini said that this incident shows the dedication, honesty and commitment of the railway employees towards the passengers. He announced that a certificate of appreciation will be given to the ticket checking staff for this commendable work, so that other ticket checking staff members are also inspired to do similar commendable work.
