Ambala, September 13:- Acting under the able guidance of Ambala SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat, the CIA-1 team has achieved a major success in solving the sensational case of vehicle robbery at gunpoint. In this case, the police have arrested a total of six accused, including the mastermind, and recovered 102 grams of gold worth approximately 1.5 million rupees and an illegal country-made pistol used in the crime.
On August 19, 2026, complainant Rajnish Kumar, a resident of Ludhiana, had lodged a complaint at Baldev Nagar Police Station stating that on August 18, 2026, unidentified armed persons forcibly stopped his vehicle near Virat Nagar, looted a large quantity of gold and fled. In view of the seriousness of the matter, a case was registered at Baldev Nagar Police Station and the investigation was handed over to the CIA-1 team. Under the leadership of CIA-1 Inspector Parmveer Singh, Sub-Inspector Shamsher Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector Harjinder Singh and their team acted swiftly on the basis of technical resources and intelligence inputs and arrested a total of six accused.
Three accused arrested in the case have already been sent to jail, and now accused Jai Lohia (resident of Aya Nagar, Baba Mohalla, Delhi), from whose location a country-made pistol was recovered during remand, and Sahil (resident of Nacholi, District Faridabad) have both been sent to judicial custody, while the third accused, Honey Verma (resident of Jandli, Ambala), is currently on police remand. Extensive questioning is being conducted to recover the remaining gold from him and gather information about other persons involved in the crime.
According to the police, when a detailed investigation was conducted, it was found that the mastermind of the entire robbery was none other than Ritesh, who was the complainant’s own employee. As part of a planned conspiracy, Ritesh had provided the criminals with information about the large quantity of gold being carried in the vehicle and their route.
