Lalru, September 4: Under the ‘Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme’ (Mukhyamantri Tirath Sthan Yatra Yojana), three additional buses carrying pilgrims departed today from Lalru in the Dera Bassi constituency to visit various holy pilgrimage sites. Constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa flagged off the 127th and 128th buses from Ward No. 1 and the 129th bus from Ward No. 9.
On this occasion, MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa met the pilgrims and extended his best wishes for their journey. He remarked that this pilgrimage offers devotees the opportunity to visit various sacred religious sites.
MLA Randhawa urged the pilgrims to offer prayers for the welfare of all, the prosperity of Punjab, and the high spirits (*Chardi Kala*) of the community while visiting these holy places.
He stated that the ‘Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme’ is a significant public-friendly initiative by the Punjab Government, enabling pilgrims to visit religious and holy sites with ease and convenience.
The event was attended by the Municipal Council President, Senior Vice President, councilors, ward in-charges, party leaders and workers, and a large number of pilgrims.
