Haryana/Hisar: A meeting of representatives of the Vaishya community was held under the chairmanship of Bajrang Garg, National Executive President of Agroha Dham Vaishya Samaj and Provincial President of Haryana Pradesh Vyapar Mandal. The problems of Agroha were discussed at the meeting. Addressing the gathering, Bajrang Garg, National Executive President of Agroha Dham Vaishya Samaj, said that there is widespread anger among the Vaishya community and the public due to the failure to announce the connection of Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa by railway line in the central annual budget, even though the central government has announced the connection of Agroha-Sirsa by railway line on numerous occasions.
At the annual fair of Agroha Dham, several Railway Ministers had publicly announced the connection of Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa by railway line. Bajrang Garg said that in the previous central budget of 2025-26, the 93-kilometer Hisar-Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa railway line project was approved. A provision of Rs. 410 crore was made for its survey. It was stated that Agroha Dham, a major religious site in the country, would be directly connected by railway line, but even after a year, the railway line survey work has not yet started.
While the central budget for 2026-27 was supposed to include the allocation of funds for laying the railway line, the failure to do so in the central annual budget has caused great resentment among the Vaishya community and the general public towards the government. The government should immediately start the work of connecting Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa by railway line as per its announcement. Connecting the area by railway line will provide relief to the general public.
It will also increase the revenue of the railway department because there is a very high volume of passenger traffic on the Hisar-Agroha-Fatehabad-Sirsa line, therefore, there is a great need to connect this area by railway line. On this occasion, representatives including Pawan Garg, Anant Agarwal, Niranjan Goyal, Ishwar Goyal, Anand Goyal, Kirti Garg, Pawan Bansal, Madan Lal Goyal, Pradeep Mittal, Ashwani Bansal, Neeraj Gupta, and Gaurav Singla shared their views.
