Nawanshahr:- Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Balbir Raj Singh assured the district residents that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders, petrol or diesel in the district. He appealed to the district residents that there is no need to fear about the availability of essential commodities in the district. While chairing a meeting with LPG and petroleum dealers, Balbir Raj Singh reviewed the stock of essential commodities in the district.
He said that sufficient quantity of LPG and petroleum products are available in the district and people do not need to fear in any way. He appealed to the district residents that there is no need to panic and buy petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders. He said that such behavior causes unnecessary trouble and affects the management of the supply chain. He said that the government has already implemented the Essential Services Management Act (ESMA) to check the misuse of essential commodities.
He warned that strict action will be taken as per the law against those involved in black marketing of essential commodities like LPG cylinders and petroleum products. Balbir Raj also directed the representatives of oil companies and LPG agencies to closely monitor the stock levels and ensure transparent distribution. He reiterated that the district administration is committed to ensuring uninterrupted supply of essential commodities to the residents of the district.
He called upon the people to book their LPG cylinders properly and not to give cylinders to anyone without booking. He called upon the residents of the district to ensure the pending e-KYC by going to the agencies so that the LPG is being supplied smoothly and the OTP is shared with the delivery person. The Additional Deputy Commissioner advised the customers not to crowd near the gas agencies as they can easily book their cylinders through a missed call.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner mentioned that LPG cylinders could be booked by giving a missed call to Indian Oil Corporation booking number 84549-55555, HP booking number 9493602222 and BPCL booking number 7710955555.
