Hoshiarpur:- In order to enable the students to get education as well as to get involved in social welfare works, to understand the problems of the society and the area around them and discuss with the people to solve them and to help poor families and encourage them to get education, to create awareness about the importance of blood donation, eye donation and organ donation in the society, a special program has been planned by the Government College Hoshiarpur in collaboration with the prominent social service organization Netar Dan Association.
Under this campaign, a special team of students reached Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Charitable Blood Bank. On this occasion, Professor Bahadur Singh Sunet, who had the opportunity to be associated with blood donation service and other social works since his student days, gave detailed information about donating blood. On this occasion, college student Jaspreet Kaur, a resident of village Nangal Fida near Adampur, donated blood and gave a message to the young generation that by donating blood, we can save someone's precious life.
On this occasion, the student who donated blood was specially honored by Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Charitable Blood Bank President Jasdeep Singh Pahwa, Eye Donation Association Patron Professor Bahadur Singh Sunet, Manmohan Singh Patron, Vice President Gurpreet Singh, Prem Saini, Jatinder Kaur, Kum Kum Sood, Dilbagh Singh, College Coordinator Professor Palwinder Kaur.
Seeing the great enthusiasm and interest shown by the students in social service work, the Principal and all the staff of the government college were thanked and said that these students will fulfill their life's dreams.
