Faridkot:- After the successful district level convention, CPI District Faridkot held a protest march in the city. The 35th anniversary of martyr Comrade Amolak Singh Aulakh and six comrades was observed at village Aulakh on June 7. Faridkot (Shivnath) "The way the central ruling Modi government is misusing the ED, CBI, other investigation agencies and the Election Commission of India and establishing a dictatorial state is a big challenge for all the countrymen," these words were expressed by Comrade Bant Singh Brar, National Council Member of the Communist Party of India and former State Secretary of the party, while addressing the district level convention of the party at the local Shaheed Comrade Amolak Singh Aulakh Bhawan.
Addressing the convention, the party's national council member and former MLA Comrade Hardev Arshi said that the Modi government has increased unemployment and inflation to record levels during the last 12 years of its rule under the pressure of the corporate sector, due to which it has become difficult for workers and people who earn their living through small businesses to even run their homes.
To distract people from the increasing unrest, communal poison is being poured into their minds, as in the past, various restrictions have been imposed on the Muslim community during the festival of Bakrid in BJP-ruled states. He alleged that the Modi government is making desperate attempts to destroy the federal structure of the country.
The fundamental issues of Punjab such as protecting Punjab's waters, not charging the price of water being given by Punjab to other states, not giving Chandigarh as the capital of Punjab, Punjab's share in the Bhakra Beas Management Board has been abolished. Addressing the convention, District Executive Secretary Prem Chawla said that the achievements made by the working class of the country through their struggles are being destroyed under the pressure of the corporate sector.
The convention was also addressed by Punjab Khet Mazdoor Sabha District President Comrade Gurnam Singh Mani Singh Wala, All India Kisan Sabha District President Sukhjinder Singh Tumbarbhan, NREGA Employment Workers Union District Faridkot President Comrade Veer Singh Kameana, Gora Singh Pipli, Pensioner Leader Harpal Singh Machaki, Kulwant Singh Chani, Gurcharan Singh Mann Outsourced Employee Leader Balkar Singh Sahota, NREGA Leader Lovepreet Kaur Pipli.
The convention passed a resolution demanding from the Punjab government that the minimum wage of the workers should be increased to thirty thousand rupees per month, the old pension scheme should be restored, the dearness allowance should be increased to 60 percent on the central pattern for employees and pensioners by implementing the orders of the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court and the Honorable Court should not be misled.
Apart from this, it was demanded from the Central Government that the old MNREGA scheme should be restored and inflation should be controlled. It was demanded that the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel should be withdrawn immediately. At this time, in the memory of the late Comrade Smittar Singh Brar, a resident of village Lande, family members, pensioner leader Pradeep Singh Brar and Principal Gurdeep Kaur Brar were honored.
On this occasion, it was announced that like every year on June 7, the 35th anniversary of the martyrdom of Martyr Comrade Amolak Singh and his six comrades is being celebrated with revolutionary fervor at village Aulakh. After the convention, a march was held against the anti-poor and inflationary policies of the ruling governments and for solving the basic issues of Punjab, raising strong slogans, which passed through various markets and ended at Bhai Ghanaiya Chowk.
