Karnal, March 7:- As part of a special campaign against drug smugglers being run by the Karnal District Police, a team led by Anti-Narcotics Cell in-charge Sub-Inspector Himmat Singh succeeded in arresting four accused involved in smuggling smack.
Police recovered 10 grams of smack and a Maruti Ciaz car from the accused.
In this regard, Anti-Narcotics Cell in-charge Himmat Singh informed that a case has been registered in this regard at Police Station Sector-32/33, Karnal under FIR No. 99/2026, Section 21B, 25 of the NDPS Act.
**Identification of the arrested accused:
1. Rohan, son of late Rajesh Kumar, resident of Palam Residency, near Heritage Lawn, Karnal.
2. Uday, son of Jitendra, resident of Vakilpura, Sadar Bazar, Police Station City, Karnal, currently a tenant in Sector 9, Karnal.
3. Anurag, son of Sandeep, resident of Sector 7, Karnal.
4. Asim, son of Pratap, resident of Part 1, Sector 8, Karnal. During the search, 10 grams of smack and a car were recovered from the accused.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were involved in selling and consuming smack to get rich quickly and fulfill their desires. The accused were arrested by the police team on the basis of suspicion during patrolling.
All the accused have been arrested by the police. They were produced in the honorable court today and sent to judicial custody.
