Karnal, November 26: District Town Planner Gunjan stated that on Wednesday, the office team, with the assistance of the police force, carried out demolition operations against two illegal colonies in Nising. The demolition was carried out under the supervision of the duty magistrate and police.
She stated that the first illegal colony was located near the bus stand in village Gondar, covering an area of approximately 5.5 acres. Six DPCs and all unpaved roads were demolished in this colony. Similarly, the second illegal colony was located along Gondar Road, Nising, covering an area of approximately 10 acres. In this colony, six under-construction houses, all DPCs, a boundary wall, the entire sewerage network, and all unpaved roads were demolished.
The District Town Planner is continuously carrying out demolition operations. He also files FIRs against those involved in illegal colonies and illegal construction. He also periodically informs everyone that strict action will be taken against those promoting illegal colonies and illegal construction. 
He stated that all measures are being taken to curb illegal colonies and illegal construction, and that no laxity will be tolerated in taking action against illegal colonies and illegal construction.
The District Town Planner appealed to the public not to fall into the trap of dealers and to purchase plots in legal colonies within the city and build their homes. He urged dealers to develop colonies only after obtaining licenses from the Town and Country Planning Haryana, Chandigarh, so that the general public can benefit.
