Patiala: Contract PRTC Workers Union Azad Regd. 31/07 leaders Janpal Singh Bhau, President, Gurdeep Singh Bhawanigarh, General Secretary, Harvinder Singh Sarprast, Sukhbir Singh Khajanchi, and Gurdhian Singh Bhanra held a meeting and issued a joint statement to the press, stating that on the night of October 20, 2025, when Manjinder Kumar Babbu Sharma, State General Secretary of our organization, was returning home from duty, some individuals from his own village surrounded him and attempted to attack him.
But when they could not subdue him, they attacked his home at around 8:30 pm with a group of about two dozen armed individuals, including women, and attacked his family, including his family, inflicting severe injuries on the women and children. In this incident, Manjinder Kumar Babbu Sharma and his family members, including his wife, his wife's brother, son, and brother's wife, were seriously injured and are being treated at Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
The leaders of the Jathebandi strongly condemned this incident and said that law and order has been violated. The strictest possible action should be taken against the perpetrators of this horrific incident so that such miscreants can be punished as per the law. However, if the police administration gives them any leniency, the Jathebandi will be forced to launch a protest against the police administration.
