Una, November 17th - The Una Municipal Corporation has extended the deadline for license applications and renewals, ensuring effective compliance with regulations related to the sale of tobacco products and for the convenience of shopkeepers.
Joint Commissioner, Una Municipal Corporation, Manoj Kumar, stated that as part of an awareness campaign being run by the Municipal Corporation, all shop owners selling tobacco, cigarettes, bidis, gutkha, and other nicotine products can now obtain or renew their business licenses until November 30th.
He stated that the purpose of extending the deadline is to inform merchants about the regulations and provide them with sufficient time to complete the licensing process.
The Joint Commissioner also clarified that applications received after the due date will not be accepted. Applications received within the stipulated period will be duly verified and the relevant licenses will be issued.
He stated that after the license is issued, action will be taken against those selling tobacco products without a license, including financial penalties.
He has urged all the traders to take advantage of the extended date and complete their license related work on time.
