S A S Nagar 02 September:- With the aim to further strengthen mutual brotherhood, harmony and positive environment among all officers and employees of Punjab School Education Board, under the guidance of Hon'ble Chairman, Punjab School Education Board Dr. Amarpal Singh IAS (Retd.), the sacred festival of Janmashtami was celebrated today with great devotion, reverence and enthusiasm at the Board's auditorium by Sewa Sadhana Society, Gurmat Vichar Sabha and Board Organization. On this occasion, officers and employees of the Board participated in large numbers and shared the joys of the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna Ji.
The function started with prayer and religious rituals by Chairman Dr. Amarpal Singh IAS (Retd.). On this occasion, he said that India's religious and cultural heritage inspires us to follow the path of truth, religion, service and humanity. Describing Lord Shri Krishna Ji's message of selfless action and performance of duty given through Gita as still relevant today, he gave Janmashtami greetings to all employees and inspired them to perform their duties with honesty, dedication and sincerity.
Bhajans, kirtan and enchanting religious presentations related to Shri Krishna Ji's life and his leelas by Kumar Deepak and Mandli made the atmosphere completely devotional. Bhajans and religious presentations depicting Shri Krishna Ji's life, his teachings and the message of Gita by the Mandli and devotees remained the special centre of attraction.
In the end, prayer was done by all the congregation before Lord Shri Krishna Ji for well-being of all, peace, prosperity and Chardi Kala. After this, Prasad was distributed and Langar was served continuously. Officers and employees of the Board shared the joys of Janmashtami with mutual interaction and the function concluded with devotion and enthusiasm.
