Hansi: Like every year, this year too, the devotees who take the name of Guru Nanak are celebrating the Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev with great enthusiasm. The Managing Committee of Gurdwara Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Sahib Sabzi Mandi, Hansi, commenced the program by initiating the Sri Akhand Path Sahib on the occasion of the Prakashotsav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Managing Committee Secretary Mr. Satwant Singh Ghai informed that in celebration of the Guruparv, the devotees will be taking out Prabhat Pheri in the city at 5 am starting October 24th. The 48-hour continuous Gurbani recitation of Sri Akhand Sahib has begun today at the Gurdwara Sahib. On November 4th, at 10 am, a grand Nagar Kirtan will begin under the guidance of the Panj Pyaro under the auspices of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
The main attraction will be the Gatka Party displaying martial arts feats, tableaux based on Guru Nanak Dev's teachings for the welfare of humanity, and a Shabad Kirtan performance by the children of Baba Banda Bahadur School.
The Nagar Kirtan will begin from the main city streets of Gurudwara Sahib and will travel through Bhagat Singh Road, Old Bus Stand, Badsi Gate, Umra Gate, Bajaria Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, Char Qutub Gate, Tikona Park, Baba Sweets, Nahar Kothi Road, Durga Colony, Sainik School, Roop Nagar Colony Main Road, and Bank Colony Road in front of Nirankari Bhawan before returning to Gurudwara Sahib.
On November 5th, the day of Guru Parv, a grand Kirtan Darbar will be held in the courtyard of Gurudwara Sahib. In this, the Guru's Kirtan singer Bhai Satwinder Singh and the great Ragi Bhai Trilok Singh Ragi Jatha will arrive from Ratia and delight the audience with their Kirtan.
Respected city figures like MLA Vinod Bhayana, Market Committee Chairman Dinesh Dhawan, social worker Rahul Makkar, Municipal Council Chairman Praveen Ailawadi, Bajrang Ashram President Bhuvnesh Ailawadi, Ajay Kambiri and Himanshu Chanana will attend these events and pay obeisance at the Guru's court. Managing Committee President Subhash Girdhar and General Secretary Ram Prakash Paruthi and Munish Pahwa urged all city residents to participate enthusiastically in these events.
