Hoshiarpur:- Miri Piri Sports Club, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Sports Club Paddi Sura Singh started the second Miri Piri Football Cup Tournament with the support of Gram Panchayat, all the residents of the town, all the NRI brothers and the entire staff of the school. On the occasion of the inauguration of the tournament, Sant Baba Harjinder Singh prayed for the welfare of all, after which the tournament was inaugurated by the chief guest Arjuna Awardee Gurdev Singh Gill.
In the inaugural match of the Mela Gaye Academy-17 years, the Badde Academy team defeated Paddisura Singh Academy by a margin of 2-1 and won. Whereas in the matches played in the village category, the village Jagatpur team defeated the Majara Degree team by 2-0, Mugowal defeated the Bihars by 3-0, the Jeevanpur Jattan team defeated the Pathlawa team by penalty kick by 5-4, and the Panjhar team defeated the Pokhowal team by a margin of 6-0 and entered the next round.
