Una, February 21: Millions of devotees attend the Dera Baba Barbhag Singh Holi Fair, held from February 24th to March 6th at Maidi in Amb subdivision. To ensure the safety, health, and law and order of the devotees, District Magistrate Jatin Lal has issued orders under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) in Una district. According to the orders, carrying firearms will be strictly prohibited for anyone except security personnel on duty during the fair.
Jatin Lal stated that to prevent noise pollution during the fair, the District Administration, the management of Dera Baba Barbhag Singh, Manji Sahib, and Charan Ganga, will prohibit the use of loudspeakers by anyone other than the members of the fair. Additionally, there will be a complete ban on bringing brass bands, drums, long tongs, and other noisy instruments into the fair area. Anyone bringing these items with them will have to surrender them to the police at the barrier.
The Baba Barabhaag Singh Management Committee will arrange for devotees to exit through the door leading to Manji Sahib, and devotees returning from the langar will exit through the rear door to prevent cross-border movement.
The District Magistrate stated that entry to devotees from the Manji Sahib's Sarai Langar Bhawan will be restricted, while entry to the Sarai will be permitted through the entrance near the Gurudwara. Additionally, Charan Ganga management will ensure that people proceed in one direction to prevent cross-border movement.
