Karnal, October 21: Under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Ajay Kumar Sharda, the District Legal Services Authority organized a program yesterday for the juveniles living at the Place of Safety to commemorate Diwali.
Chief Judicial Magistrate and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Dr. Iram Hasan, stated that the District Legal Services Authority celebrated Diwali with the juveniles at the Place of Safety.
On this occasion, refreshments of sweets, juice, and chips were provided to all the juveniles, courtesy of a volunteer, and they were encouraged to strive for a brighter future with Diwali greetings. Paralegal volunteer Pooja Verma celebrated Diwali with the juveniles and informed them about their rights and free legal services. Place of Safety Superintendent Ajay Kumar and staff were also present.
CJM Dr. Iram Hasan extended Diwali greetings and urged the public to celebrate a Green Diwali to protect the environment. She said that Diwali is a festival of lights, which should not be polluted by using environmentally polluting firecrackers, and that gambling and drugs should be avoided, and the festival should be celebrated by lighting lamps with family.
