Fatehabad, February 27: Youth participation is essential to realize the vision of making India a developed nation by the year 2047. To this end, the district-level "Developed India Youth Parliament" was organized at Manohar Memorial College under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Organized by the National Service Scheme, youth aged 18 to 25 from various colleges across the district participated in this program and demonstrated their leadership abilities.
Suman Khichad, Chairperson of the District Council, Fatehabad, was the chief guest. Special guests included Sudesh Kataria, media advisor to former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Rajiv Batra, President of the MM Education Society, youth leader Subhash Khichad, District Youth Officer Poonam, RK Kaushik, and SS Malhotra. Principal Dr. Gurcharan Das welcomed the guests. The main theme of the Youth Parliament was "50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy."
The program was inaugurated in the college's Smt. Amarjeet Kaur Memorial Seminar Hall. The program was conducted by Prof. Simpa.
Chief guest Suman Khichad said that the contribution of youth is paramount in building a developed India. Programs like the Youth Parliament prove to be a milestone in the personality development of students. Sudesh Kataria, media advisor to the former Chief Minister, said that the current government has secured the future of youth by providing them with jobs based solely on merit, without any cost-cutting.
He called upon youth to utilize their talents in nation-building. Rajiv Batra said, "Youth should work with hard work, dedication, and commitment. The primary objective of this event is to develop youth into disciplined and aware citizens."

An Imagine student served as the speaker at the "Developed India Youth Parliament." Imagine Girls is also the Sarpanch of the Panchayat. Students from various colleges participated as members of the Parliament. They expressed their views for and against the Emergency. Through debate, the students demonstrated how protecting civil rights and constitutional values ??is essential in a strong democracy.
NSS Program Officer, Prof. Pratibha Makhija, and District Nodal Officer, Vikasit Bharat Yuva Sansad, Dr. Vikas Sethi, informed that the top five students performing best at the district level will represent Fatehabad district at the state level. Following the state level, a national-level program will be held. Selected youth who reach this prestigious milestone will receive a golden opportunity to interact directly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and share their views.
