Una, March 7th: The Chaitra Navratri Fair at the Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple will be held from March 19th to 27th. SDM Amb, Paras Agarwal, chaired a meeting regarding preparations and security arrangements for the Chaitra Navratri Fair in the auditorium of Baba Shri Maidas Sadan.
He stated that SDM Amb will be the Fair Officer during the fair, while DSP Amb has been appointed as the Police Fair Officer. To maintain law and order during the fair, the fair area will be divided into four sectors, with approximately 300 police and home guard personnel deployed. CCTV cameras will be used extensively in the temple and fair premises to prevent untoward incidents caused by anti-social elements.
The SDM directed the temple officer to ensure that the CCTV cameras are inspected. Additionally, cleanliness instructions have been issued from Mubarakpur to Bharwain to ensure a conducive environment for all devotees attending the fair.
Mr. Agarwal stated that to ensure emergency medical care for devotees during the fair, 24-hour services will be provided at Chintpurni Hospital. The Block Medical Officer will be the Amb Mela Medical Officer. Additionally, the Health Department and the Ayurveda Department will establish additional medical posts to provide treatment to devotees as needed.
He directed the Jal Shakti Department to ensure the cleanliness of drinking water sources and adequate supply to ensure clean and pure drinking water for devotees during the fair. He also directed the chlorination of all drinking water sources. He also directed the Electricity Department to conduct all necessary inspections to ensure uninterrupted power supply so that the fair can be conducted smoothly.
The SDM stated that for the safety of devotees, there will be a complete ban on bringing coconuts into the temple during the fair. Coconuts will be collected from pilgrims in a queue at the DFMD site before the main gate of the temple. He said that signage will be installed at various locations for the convenience of devotees visiting the Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple.
He explained that permission from the Langar Committee is mandatory for organizing langar during the fair. Furthermore, langar organizers must adhere to all regulations established by the Langar Committee, including cleanliness and road safety, or their langar permits may be revoked. Langars will be organized at a designated distance from the road to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during movement and traffic.
The SDM stated that begging will be strictly prohibited at Mata Shri Chintpurni. Police and Home Guard personnel will maintain a strict vigil to prevent this. He directed the fire department to ensure that fire fighting equipment is fully operational before the fair to prevent fires. The meeting discussed in detail traffic management, electrical arrangements, parking arrangements, accommodation for officers and staff on duty, and maintaining cleanliness.
DSP Amb Anil Patial, DFSC Rajiv Sharma, temple officer Ajay Kumar, and others were present on the occasion.
