Karnal, December 6: Acting on a tip-off, the Crime Investigation Branch-1 team of the district police, headed by Assistant Sub-Inspector Rohtas, arrested Gulzar, son of Sada, a resident of village Garhi Besik, district Panipat, who had hatched a false robbery plot.
The investigating officer stated that the complainant, Zuber, son of Zeeshan, a resident of village Garhi Besik, district Panipat, stated that on the night of November 14, 2025, they had loaded wood onto a tractor and were on their way to Yamunanagar.
After selling the wood, four unidentified miscreants on a motorcycle robbed them of Rs. 1.5 lakh each and fled the scene. A case was registered against them at Gharaunda police station under relevant sections of the crime, case number 696/2025.
Based on the complaint of the complainant, the team thoroughly investigated the case and found that the robbery was planned by the complainant's friend Gulzar, who was arrested today by the investigation unit and further investigation is underway to trace other associates of the accused involved in this robbery.
