Mohali:- The 310th martyrdom anniversary of the great general of the Sikh community, Amar Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji, was celebrated with great devotion and religious enthusiasm at Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan, the martyrdom site of the blessed Amar Shaheed Jathedar Baba Hanuman Singh Ji.
On this occasion, the Bhog of Sri Sehaj Path Sahib was offered at 9 am, after which religious diwans were arranged throughout the day. During the function, Bibi Daler Kaur Khalsa and the International Dhadi Jatha of Nakodar women presented the historical context of the bravery of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji, the victory of Sirhind and the revenge of the martyrdom of the younger sons of the tenth Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh and Mata Gujri Ji, in detail before the congregation.
Bibi Jaspreet Kaur Patiala connected the congregation with Naam Bani through various Gurbani Kirtans. On this occasion, Shiromani Pracharak Bhai Manjit Singh Ludhiana said in his speeches that Baba Banda Singh Bahadur faced oppression by giving a big challenge to the Mughal government and achieved unparalleled martyrdom for religion and justice in 1716 AD.
During the religious ceremony, the Dhadi Jatha of Bhai Simranjit Singh (Gurdwara Panjhokhra Sahib), Bhai Harsharan Singh Patiala, Bibi Amandeep Kaur Phagwara, Bhai Karnail Singh Jawaddi Taksal, Bhai Amritpal Singh Moga, the women of Sukhmani Sewa Society, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh's Jatha and the Hazuri Raagi Jathas of Gurdwara Singh Shaheed Bhai Nitin Singh, Bhai Sandeep Singh, Bhai Gurmeet Singh and Bhai Inderjit Singh delighted the Sangat with the praise of the Guru through Katha, Kirtan, Kavishri and Gurmat thoughts. On this occasion, the Sangat, who arrived in thousands, took a bath in the holy tank of the Gurdwara Sahib, paid homage and received the blessings of the Guru Ghar. During the ceremony, the Guru's unfailing langar was also served to the Sangat throughout the day.
