Garhshankar, March 9:- Accusing the government of treating employees like a stepmother in the budget, teachers in Garhshankar burned copies of the budget and raised slogans against the Punjab government. Under the leadership of Government Teachers Union Block Garhshankar-1 President Pawan Kumar, Block Garhshankar-2 President Ashwani Rana and Block President of Old Pension Restoration Sangharsh Committee Satpal Minhas, the teachers burned copies of the budget and alleged that the government is trying to suppress the voice of the employees by force instead of resolving their demands.
He said that yesterday, on March 8, a joint demonstration was held against the employees and pensioners in protest against the budget presented by the Punjab government, in which the hands of many colleagues were broken and many were injured due to the repressive action of the police. In protest against this demonstration and the presented budget, they will hold a rally at Phase 6 of Mohali on March 9, 10 and 11 as per the pre-determined program and then march towards the Vidhan Sabha and burn copies of the budget under the banner of Punjab Employees and Pensioners United Front.
