Karnal, 05 August:- District Police Karnal has succeeded in arresting two accused from Madhuban police station area while taking swift action in a case of murderous assault. The arrested accused have been identified as Amit son of Sompal and Ankit son of Isham Singh, both residents of village Kalron, District Karnal. A sharp-edged weapon (Da) used in the crime has also been recovered from their possession.
Giving information about the case, Investigating Officer Sub-Inspector Ram Mehar said that on 04 August 2026, a case was registered at Madhuban police station on the complaint of victim Shubham village Mubarakabad, Police Station Madhuban, District Karnal.
The complainant stated that he has a Chicken Corner shop in Bastara. On the evening of 03 August 2026, accused Amit and Ankit came to his shop and after eating chicken, started arguing when asked for money. During the dispute, accused Ankit attacked the complainant with a sharp-edged weapon (Da) used for cutting chicken at the shop with an intention to kill him. In the attack, the victim sustained serious injuries on his head, neck and hand. While Amit pushed him down and both of them together beat him up and fled from the spot.
On the basis of the complaint in the case, a case was registered at Madhuban police station and investigation was started.
During investigation, the police team took swift action and arrested both the accused Amit and Ankit. The accused are being interrogated thoroughly in the matter and they have been produced before the Hon'ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
