Ratia / Bhuna: An Under-16 Summer Cup cricket tournament is being organized by Sun Shine Cricket Academy, Bhuna, at the Sun Shine School grounds near Ratia. The competition was inaugurated by Prem Singh Nain, Director of Sun Shine Senior Secondary School, and Arun Khod, Director of Everest Sports Club. According to coach Harpreet Kamboj and the organizers, a total of eight teams are participating in the tournament. Matches were played between four teams in the first phase, while four teams will showcase their talent in the second phase. Along with teams from Haryana’s Hisar, Fatehabad, Jhajjar, and Sun Shine Cricket Academy, Bhuna, teams from other states including Delhi, Agra, and Lucknow are also participating. This is proving to be a magnificent platform for young players to display their talent.
In the first phase matches, players displayed excellent gameplay. In the match played against Bhuna, Akshat Verma from Jhajjar scored a brilliant 88 runs with aggressive batting. Meanwhile, Vansh played a crucial role in his team's victory by taking 4 wickets with superb bowling.
In another match, Sun Shine Cricket Academy, Bhuna defeated the Delhi team in a one-sided contest. In this match, Kushal Sukhleja grabbed everyone's attention with a brilliant all-round performance, while Vedash Harman contributed significantly to the team's victory with his impressive bowling.
On the other hand, the Hisar team also secured a spot in the semi-finals by displaying excellent play. For the team, Vikas and Rishabh performed brilliantly with the bat to lead their team to a crucial victory.
The organizers stated that exciting cricket will be witnessed in the second phase matches as well. Attractive cash prizes and trophies have been set for the winner and runner-up teams of the tournament, which has created great enthusiasm among the players.
