Faridkot:- The MNREGA Employees Union Punjab had drawn up an action program to protest in front of the residence of Punjab Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund in Khanna city for the release of their pending salaries for the last eight months, regularization of their services and some other legitimate and legitimate demands. With the instigation of Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund, the Punjab Police fired water cannons, fired tear gas shells, indiscriminately torturing the MNREGA employees and NREGA workers who had come to support their demands, a very unfortunate incident took place yesterday.
NREGA Employment Workers Union District President Veer Singh Kameana and Advisor Balkar Singh Sahota, Kul Hind Kisan Sabha District Faridkot President Sukhjinder Singh Tumbarbhan, Pensioner Leader Prem Chawla, Gurcharan Singh Mann, Harpal Singh Machaki, Inderjit Singh Gill, Farm Workers Leader Comrade Gurnam Singh Mani Singh Wala strongly condemned this incident and alleged that this is happening at the instigation of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Instead of solving the issues of the people demanding their rights, the Punjab government has chosen the anti-people path of suppressing peaceful struggles with the force of a stick and this path directly leads to the downfall of the Aam Aadmi Party. The leaders have demanded from the Punjab Chief Minister that this arrogant behavior should be abandoned immediately and the issues of all the struggling people should be resolved on priority basis.
The leaders, while warning, further said that the Aam Aadmi Party should remember that the Punjab assembly elections are not far away. People who are fed up with the ruling governments know how to do all the calculations.
