Haroli/Una, March 24 (Rajveer Chopra):- A one-day statistics workshop was successfully organized today at Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Government College, Haroli, by the Department of Statistics, Government of India. The event was conducted under the leadership of the Principal, Dr. Rajendra Kumar.
The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Rajendra Kumar, who addressed the guests, faculty members, and students. On this occasion, Prof. R.S. Dadwal extended a warm welcome to everyone present.
The primary objective of the workshop was to sensitize students to the significance of statistics, methods of data collection, and its practical applications.
During the program, experts from the Department of Economics—Dr. Shyam Singh and Dr. Manjit Man (Government College, Una)—provided students with detailed insights into modern statistical techniques, survey methodologies, and various aspects of data analysis. They emphasized that, in the contemporary era, accurate statistics hold immense importance across every field, serving to guide the formulation of policies and the execution of developmental initiatives.
The college Principal and faculty members were also present on this occasion. They encouraged the students to actively participate in such programs, noting that workshops of this nature play a pivotal role in enhancing their knowledge and skills.
At the conclusion of the event, students resolved their queries by posing questions to the experts and expressed their gratitude to the organizers for conducting this highly beneficial workshop.
