Hansi: In a significant initiative by the District Child Welfare Council to provide modern and quality educational facilities to children and youth, a state-of-the-art e-library was inaugurated on Saturday at the Bal Bhavan complex. The chief guest for the event was Naveen Kaushik, Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Power and Urban Development, Manohar Lal Khattar. He formally inaugurated the e-library by lighting a lamp and cutting a ribbon, and subsequently conveyed a message of environmental conservation by planting a sapling on the Bal Bhavan premises.
While inspecting the e-library, chief guest Naveen Kaushik remarked that education is the greatest strength of any society and that connecting students with modern technology is the need of the hour in the current digital age. He stated that the e-library is being constructed by the 'Sarv Kalyan Manch,' which will also bear the entire cost of its operation and maintenance; this will enable students from the Hansi district to visit Bal Bhavan and avail themselves of modern digital facilities free of cost.
He noted that the e-library would provide students with quality study material, online learning resources, e-books, and a conducive environment for preparing for various competitive examinations. He urged students to make the most of this facility and to incorporate regular study, discipline, hard work, and a positive mindset into their lives. Appreciating this innovative initiative by the District Child Welfare Council, he remarked that such efforts would prove to be a milestone in shaping a bright future for children.
District Child Welfare Officer Omprakash Bibyan stated that the District Child Welfare Council has consistently worked towards the holistic development and bright future of children. He mentioned that approval for setting up the e-library at Bal Bhavan was granted during an executive committee meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner and District Child Welfare Council President Rahul Narwal. In accordance with the Deputy Commissioner's guidance and instructions, this modern e-library has been dedicated to the students today. He stated that students would be provided with internet facilities, digital study materials covering various subjects, online learning resources, and essential materials for competitive exam preparation. This initiative will significantly enhance the students' knowledge, skills, and technical proficiency. He expressed confidence that this e-library would become a vital hub of knowledge, innovation, and inspiration for the district's students.
During the event, the chief guest and other distinguished guests were honored with mementos presented by the District Child Welfare Council.
In his concluding remarks, District Child Welfare Officer Omprakash Bibyan expressed gratitude to all the guests, officials, staff members, office-bearers of the Sarv Kalyan Manch, partner organizations, media representatives, and the students present.
