Una, August 4: State Lok Adalats and National Lok Adalats will be organized in all courts across Una district. Shikha Lakhanpal, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Una, provided this information.
She stated that a State Lok Adalat will be held on August 22, 2026, in all courts of Una district to resolve cases related to the Negotiable Instruments Act (specifically, cheque bounce cases).
Additionally, a National Lok Adalat will be organized in all courts of Una district on September 12, 2026. During this event, cases such as compoundable criminal matters, motor accident claims, bank loan disputes, family disputes, wage-related issues, electricity and water bill disputes, land disputes, and other suitable matters will be resolved through mutual settlement.
Shikha Lakhanpal noted that Lok Adalats facilitate the speedy, simple, and cost-effective (or free) resolution of cases. This saves time and money for the parties involved while also helping to maintain cordial relationships.
She urged all concerned parties to contact their advocates or the relevant courts to consent to having their cases heard in the Lok Adalat, and to make the most of this opportunity to resolve their disputes amicably.
