Hoshiarpur- Dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Punjab Government is organizing a unique light and sound show based on the life and teachings of Guru Sahib at Lajwanti Multipurpose Stadium, Hoshiarpur on November 8.
This information was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nicas Kumar during a meeting with officials at the District Administrative Complex today regarding the preparations for this show. He said that during this light and sound show of about 45 minutes, the life, legacy, teachings and great sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be highlighted digitally. He said that this magnificent presentation will give the devotees a unique experience, which beautifully reflects the philosophy of Guru Sahib of peace, tolerance and strengthening global brotherhood.
He said that this show will be a true tribute to the message of humanity and compassion of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He said that the entry for the show will start at 5 pm on November 8 and anyone can join the show without any pass and entry is open to everyone. He appealed to all the district residents to participate in this light and sound show in large numbers.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the various preparations being made for the event such as security, traffic management, cleanliness, parking arrangements, barricading, uninterrupted power supply, deployment of medical teams, fire safety, publicity, availability of control room and drinking water etc. and assigned duties to the officers in this regard.
He instructed the police and civil administration officers to make elaborate arrangements for this mega event so that the devotees do not face any problem.
It is worth mentioning that this light and sound show is being presented by the team of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department Punjab.
On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Oishi Mandal, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, RTO Amandeep Kaur Ghuman, SP Dr. Manpreet Shihmar, Tehsildar Hirdevir Singh, District Public Relations Officer Hardev Singh Asi and District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh, besides officials of various departments were present.
