Patiala:- A religious function dedicated to the 556th Parkash Purb of the first Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was organized with devotion and enthusiasm at Gurdwara Sri Guru Ravidas located in Guru Nanak Nagar, Badungar by Sri Guru Ravidas Santokh Sabha under the supervision of President Mahinder Singh Badungar, Chief Advisor Engr. Mehar Singh, General Secretary Jarnail Singh (University) Surjit Singh Dehar and Vice President Sharanjit Singh.
Devotees in large numbers paid obeisance to the Gurdwara Sahib and expressed their faith. During this, the Kirtani Jatha of Bhai Nirmal Singh Kalyanwale entertained the devotees with various Kirtans and divine hymns. After that, the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib Ji kept at the Gurdwara Sahib was offered.
During the event, special honors were also given to Bhai Nirmal Singh Kalyan Kirtani Jatha, Baba Jaswinder Singh Bhedwal Wale and personalities playing an important role in religious and social service work. On this occasion, President Mahinder Singh and Chief Advisor Eng: Mehar Singh, Jarnail Singh, Sharanjit Singh jointly said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji showed us the path of equality and truth and considered humanity as the greatest religion.
He refuted the differences of caste, creed and gave the message of creating an equal society to the entire world and taught that God is one and resides in every human being. He taught the lesson of unity and service to people of all religions.
