Hoshiarpur:- Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ashika Jain said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the work of digitization of Electoral Forms in the district has reached its final stage. This special campaign, which started from 25 June 2026, will run till 3 August 2026, while the digitization work is to be completed by 30 July.
Till 4 pm on 29 July, out of total 12,68,648 voters in the district, 11,68,507 were found eligible for EF digitization, out of which 12,67,607 records have been digitized. In this way, the total progress of the district has reached 99.92 percent and only 1,041 records are left to be digitized.
She informed that Dasuya, Chabbewal and Garhshankar assembly constituencies of the district have achieved 100 percent digitization target. While 99.999 percent work has been completed in Mukerian assembly constituency, 99.96 percent in Sham Chaurasi, 99.75 percent in Hoshiarpur and 99.72 percent in Urmar.
The Deputy Commissioner said that out of total 1,563 polling booths in the district, work has been completed in 1,523 polling booths, while work is pending in only 40 polling booths. She directed all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and concerned employees to complete the digitization of the remaining records on priority basis within the stipulated time limit, so that 100 percent target can be achieved in the district by 30 July.
She said that digitization of election-related records is an important step towards making the voter list more transparent and accurate. The district administration is continuously monitoring this work and all concerned officers are working with full commitment to achieve the target.
