Sangrur, 21 July:- The Punjab Government is starting a free dairy training course for Scheduled Caste candidates to flourish the dairy business, so that the milk producers of Scheduled Caste can be given full financial benefit with these progressive schemes to make the state self-reliant. The trainees who have already received training are provided loans from banks by the department for 2, 5 and 10 animals. On which 33 percent financial assistance facility is provided by the Punjab Government.
In the training, the trainees are given information about the latest techniques from purchase of milch animals to maintenance, feed, breed improvement, care and proper marketing.
Harpreet Singh, Deputy Director, Dairy Development, Sangrur informed that on 03-08-2026 a two-week Scheduled Caste Special Dairy Training Course by Punjab Dairy Development Board is being started at Dairy Training and Extension Centre, Sangrur. The counseling/selection of trainees is to be done on 27/07/2026 at 10:00 am in the office of Deputy Director Dairy Development Sangrur.
He informed that the candidates desirous of getting training should bring at least fifth pass certificate, Scheduled Caste certificate, Aadhaar card, copy of bank account, 01 photo to the office.
For trainees, the age for training is 18 to 55 years and it is necessary to be a resident of the village. Desirous candidates should come for counseling at the office of Deputy Director, Dairy Development near Fisheries Office, Patiala Gate, Sangrur.
