Sangrur, 2nd September:- As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, under the process of Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, special camps will be held on 6th September 2026 at all polling stations of District Sangrur. During these camps, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will remain present at their respective polling stations from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM to receive claims and objections related to the voter list from voters.
If the name of any eligible citizen is not enrolled in the voter list / there is a need for correction in details of any voter or any other kind of change/objection related action is required, then he can contact the concerned BLO during the special camp. BLOs will also provide information to voters about various forms related to voter list, procedure and required documents.
District Election Officer Poonamdeep Kaur has appealed to all eligible citizens to reach their respective polling station on 6th September, 2026 and ??????????? check their name and details in the voter list and if needed submit claim or objection to the BLO. She said that every possible step is being taken by the district administration to ensure participation of maximum eligible citizens in the election process and to keep the voter lists correct and updated. The purpose of special camps is to connect maximum eligible citizens with the voter list and to make the lists error-free.
She said that BLOs have been instructed to remain present at the designated place and to record the claims and objections received from voters as per rules and to provide necessary information and instructions. Instructions have also been issued to the concerned officials by the Election Department to ensure necessary arrangements for the convenience of citizens coming during the camps.
The district administration has specially appealed to youth who are going to become voters for the first time and other eligible persons to take advantage of this opportunity to get their name registered in the voter list and to participate maximum in the special camps on 6th September.
