Nawanshahr: As per the instructions of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of the electoral rolls is scheduled from June 25, 2026, to July 24, 2026, during which BLOs will conduct door-to-door visits to collect voter forms. Sharing this information, District Election Officer Gulpreet Singh Aulakh stated that the task of voter mapping in the three assembly constituencies of S.B.S. Nagar district—046-Banga, 047-Nawanshahr, and 048-Balachaur—has reached approximately 88.73% during the pre-SIR phase.
The District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner further stated that to complete the mapping work, a special camp is being organized on June 7, 2026, as per the guidelines of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab. During this special camp, BLOs will be present at their respective polling stations from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to map the "Unmapped Electors."
District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh appealed to all voters whose mapping has not yet been linked with the current electoral roll to visit the special camp, contact their BLOs, and cooperate in achieving 100% completion of the mapping process. Additionally, he appealed to all political parties to ensure their appointed BLOs extend maximum cooperation in the mapping work.
