Sangrur, 1 September:- As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the important work of Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) is going on in the state of Punjab. As per the schedule issued in this regard, the preliminary publication of the photo voter list was done on date 13.08.2026. From date 13.08.2026 to 12.09.2026, voters can fill claim and objection related Form No. 6, 6-A, 7 and 8 online (www.voters.eci.gov.in and Voter Helpline App) and offline (concerned Electoral Registration Officer and BLO).
During SIR-2026, to receive claims and objections from general public and voters, special camps are being organized by BLOs at all 3031 polling stations of the district on date 06.09.2026 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. During the camp, all BLOs will be present at their polling booths and will provide voters with notice forms and necessary information regarding filling claims-objections.
During the special camp, Booth Level Agents appointed by all recognized political parties of the district will cooperate with BLOs regarding the work of claims and objections and will ensure maximum voter registration through their party workers.
All voters of the district are appealed that on the basis of qualifying date 01.10.2026, citizens whose age is 18 years or more can avail this camp to submit Form No. 6 for including their name in the voter list and Form No. 8 for correction in details entered in voter card to the BLOs present at polling booths.
