Una, March 18: Special arrangements will remain in effect from March 19 to March 27 at the Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple to ensure public convenience and maintain smooth law and order during the Chaitra Navratri fair. In this regard, District Magistrate Jatin Lal has issued orders exercising the powers vested in him under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). According to the issued orders, there will be a complete ban on any individual carrying weapons during the fair, with the exception of personnel deployed for law and order duties.
Jatin stated that, in order to curb noise pollution during Navratri, the use of loudspeakers by anyone other than the Temple Trust is strictly prohibited. There will also be a complete ban on bringing brass bands, drums, long tongs (*chimtas*), etc., into the fair premises. If any individual brings these items along, they must deposit them at the police barriers established for this purpose. Furthermore, there will be a complete ban on the use of polythene during this period. Setting up community kitchens (*langars*) in open areas or along roadsides is also prohibited, and the use of fireworks or similar items will not be permitted.
The Deputy Commissioner added that, during the duration of the fair, it will be mandatory to obtain a slip from the designated registration counters established for devotees wishing to have *darshan* (sacred viewing) of Mata Shri Chintpurni Ji.
