Mohali: Four prominent social workers from the region were honored during the 'Seva Samman' program held on Sunday at the Mat-Pita Gau Dham in Khallaur village, Mohali, coinciding with the 176th monthly *Bhandara* (community feast). Gauchar Das Gyan Walia, founder of the Mat-Pita Trust, shared details about the event, noting the participation of distinguished saints and spiritual leaders, including Acharya Shri Vivek Muni Ji Maharaj (founder of the Acharya Sushil Muni Mission), Mahamandaleshwar Shri Guruji Goswami Sushil Giri Maharaj (Peethadhishwar of Maharshi Bhrigu Peeth), and Acharya Swami Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj (an international Vedic storyteller).
On this occasion, Gauchar Das Gyan Walia shared his vision of making respect for parents and love for *Gau Mata* (Mother Cow) a core philosophy. The saints assured that they would convey this ideology to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed confidence that this movement would spread like a beacon of light not only across India but throughout the world. Bestowing their abundant blessings, the saints also hailed Mat-Pita Gau Dham as a 'Mahateerth' (great pilgrimage site) of the earth.
At the event, Ranveer Kaur—a popular social worker and Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Mohi Kalan (Patiala, Punjab)—was honored with the 'Seva Samman' award in recognition of her significant contributions to village development and sanitation, as well as for previous honors received from the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Renowned social worker Bobby Singh was honored for his selfless assistance to the destitute and his remarkable contributions to disaster relief efforts. Mohan Singh Ahluwalia, a popular social worker who is also a state official, was also felicitated.
Pawan Nehru, a social worker who has been serving selflessly for the past 12 years in the Dera Bassi and Zirakpur areas through the 'Navjeevan Welfare Foundation' NGO, was also honored.
Trustees Surnesh Singla, Kashmiri Lal Gupta, Amarjit Bansal, and Jai Gopal Bansal; Committee President Subhash Singla; Senior Committee President Sushil Bindal; and member Jeevan Babbu were present at the event.
