Banga/Nawanshahr- The students of Sikh National College, Banga (District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar) performed brilliantly in the competitions held on the second day (October 31, 2025) of the 34th Mela Gadari Babayan Da (dedicated to the centenary of the departure of Gadari Gulab Kaur 1925–2025) organized by the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee, Jalandhar. This success was achieved under the guidance of the Principal of the college, Dr. Tarsem Singh.
While participating in the competitions, Twinkle, Raveena and Surinder Kaur, students of BA Part II and III of the college, secured the fourth position out of 18 teams in the quiz competition. The in-charge of the quiz competition were Dr. Kumari Sikh and Prof. Kishore Kumar. In the speech (elocution) competition of the same fair, Gurdeep Saroy, a student of BA Part-I, won the “Honsala Wadhau” prize out of more than 30 competitors.
The in-charge of this competition were Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur and Prof. Tajinder Singh, who gave full support to the students in their preparation. The Principal of the college, Dr. Tarsem Singh, congratulated the students for their achievement and said that this is the result of their hard work and dedication. He motivated the students to perform better in the future. The Secretary of the Local Managing Committee, S. Jarnail Singh Palijhikki, was also present on the occasion.
