Ratia, February 28: The Shri Khatu Shyam Mandir Trust organized a grand Nishan Yatra to commemorate the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Shri Shyam Mandir. The procession began at the sacred site of the under-construction Shri Khatu Shyam Mandir under the leadership of Shri Khatu Shyam Mandir Trust President Rajkumar Singla (Raju Karandi). First, the chief host, Madan Goyal of Transport, performed the worship of Baba Shyam, followed by Johnny Bansal performing the Aarti of Baba Shyam. Afterward, the newly appointed head of the grain market, Darshan Kaka, broke a coconut to inaugurate the grand procession. Deepak Mittal and Amit Garg of Shailer Wale, flagged off the procession with chants of Baba Shyam. Carrying red and yellow flags in their hands, the Nishan Yatra group of thousands of Shyam lovers and women started from the holy site of the under-construction Shri Shyam Temple and to the tune of the band, raising slogans of "Baba Shyam is our support for the defeated, the two names are beautiful in the world, whether you call him Krishna or Shyam, Jai-Jai Shri Krishna, Jai-Jai Shri Shyam", passed through Market Committee, Grain Market, Shiv Temple, Mandi Road, Bhakt Singh Chowk, Main Bazaar, Shyam Chowk, Old Market, Old Post Office Street, Sheetla Temple, Khatik Mohalla, PNB Street, Tohana Road, Gurudwara Street, Ram Park, Maharaja Agrasen Chowk, Model Town and concluded in the evening by reaching the holy site of the under-construction Shri Shyam Temple. Various religious and social organizations in the city welcomed the Nishan Yatra with flower and perfume showers at various locations, and distributed refreshments and prasad to the devotees of Shyam. Devotees danced and danced to the tunes of bhajans and kirtans and band music, celebrating with colors and gulal (coloured powder). The entire city was decorated with colorful garlands and welcome gates for the Nishan Yatra. Holding red and yellow flags, devotees marched in long, lined rows ahead of the image of Baba Shyam seated on a flower-decorated chariot. The entire Ratia city was immersed in the grandeur of this Nishan Yatra, immersed in the devotion of Shri Shyam. Today, a scene reminiscent of Khatu Dham was witnessed in Ratia. Finally, Trust President Rajkumar Singla Kanrdi expressed his gratitude to the devotees present for their unprecedented support and appealed to everyone to donate as much as possible to the Shri Khatu Shyam Temple so that the construction of the temple could be completed as soon as possible.
