Hansi, September 16:- Seven blood donation camps will be organised in the district under the Seva Sankalp campaign with the objective of creating awareness among people about blood donation and ensuring the availability of blood for patients in need.
SDM and District Nodal Officer of the Seva Sankalp campaign Rajesh Khoth said that the general public, youth, students, representatives of social organisations and various institutions would be encouraged to participate actively in these blood donation camps organised under the campaign. He said that blood donation is a highly humanitarian act and blood donated by a healthy person can play an important role in saving the life of a person in need.
SDM Rajesh Khoth said that as per the scheduled programme, a mega blood donation camp would be organised at ITI Hansi on September 17. Thereafter, a blood donation camp would be held at Vikas Maan Hospital, Hansi, on September 21. Blood donation camps associated with SD Women’s College, Hansi and Government College, Hansi, would be organised on September 22.
He said that thereafter, blood donation camps would be organised on September 29 at Jaipal Datna Sports Academy, Bhatol Road, village Garhi; on October 2 at Community Health Centre (CHC) Sisai; on October 8 at Dada Devraj, Dharamshala, Narnaund; and on October 15 at Community Health Centre (CHC) Mirchpur.
The SDM directed the concerned departments and organisers to pay special attention to the convenience of blood donors, necessary arrangements and awareness activities at all the camps. He said that maximum numbers of people should be encouraged to donate blood voluntarily through the blood donation camps and youth participation should be ensured.
He appealed to the general public that all healthy and eligible persons who are able to donate blood should visit these camps and voluntarily donate blood, and contribute to saving the lives of people in need by connecting the Seva Sankalp campaign with the spirit of public service.
