Garhshankar:- Due to the unhindered movement of tippers in the city, school going children and the common people are facing huge difficulties. This was said by Satish Kumar Soni, founder president of Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab, during a press conference.
He said that the Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur has fixed the time from 7 pm to 7 am for the movement of tippers in the city, but despite this, many tipper drivers are violating the orders and entering the city even after 7 am without any fear.
Satish Kumar Soni said that the situation becomes even more serious due to the absence of traffic police during school hours in the morning. Bus drivers have to struggle a lot to remove school buses from the crowd of tippers, due to which many times students reach school late. Along with this, employed people also face difficulties in reaching their places of work on time.
He said that the traffic jams caused by tippers waste valuable time of people and also increase the risk of accidents. He alleged that orders are issued by the administration to improve the traffic system, but effective action is not taken to implement them at the ground level, for which the common people have to bear the brunt.
Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab has demanded from the local administration and the Punjab government to ensure regular deployment of traffic police during school hours and to strictly implement the restrictions imposed on the movement of tippers and take strict action against those violating the rules.
