Ratia, December 6:- During the discussion on the establishment of Bhirdana as a new sub-tehsil of district Fatehabad, a delegation of Sarpanches and representatives of various villages met the District Deputy Commissioner today. The delegation submitted a signed memorandum demanding the nomination of Hasanga village as a sub-tehsil instead of Bhirdana.
Village Sarpanch Vakil Saharan of Hasanga, District President of Numbardar Association Jangir Singh, Block Committee Representative Naresh Sharma, District President of Turban Conservation Jatta Om Prakash, Bunty Sihag, Kuldeep Singh, Kuldeep Khileri, Ram Niwas Punia, Hardeep Singh, Ramesh Khileri and others said that the Revenue Department is in the process of establishing a new sub-tehsil in the district, and there is talk that Bhirdana may be given this status. However, the villages proposed to be linked to Bhirdana are located at a considerable distance.
The representatives said that the villages of Hasanga, MP Sotar, Kunal, Palsar, Raipur Dhani, Pandori, Digoh, Bhundra, Gurusar, Munshi Wali and Sukhmanpur do not have direct transport links with Bhirdana. On the contrary, Hasanga is located between these villages and is about 26 km away from the district headquarters.
It is also conveniently located between Ratia Tehsil and Bhuna Sub-Tehsil, which does not cause any transportation problems for the villagers. The delegation said that if these villages are connected to Bhirdana, they will have to travel an unnecessarily long distance for government work. Therefore, all the Panchayats demand that Hasanga be made a sub-tehsil and these villages be connected to it.
