Mrs. Bharaj said that handmade products reflect the hard work and creativity of artisans, as well as artistic traditions passed down through generations. By purchasing these products, people can contribute to increasing artisans’ income and preserving traditional skills.

In particular, women associated with these groups are encouraged to use their skills to strengthen themselves economically and move towards self-reliance. She said that public participation plays a vital role in the success of initiatives that connect rural skills with larger markets.
On the first evening of the fair, renowned Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal entertained the audience with his performance and added to the festive atmosphere.
