Hoshiarpur:- A grand function was organized at the local Multi Purpose Outdoor Stadium, Hoshiarpur, in which a hand wash station was dedicated by Rotary Club Hoshiarpur Mid Town with the aim of increasing awareness about cleanliness among children. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain attended as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the hand wash station.
During the function, the hand wash station set up by Rotary Club Mid Town for the convenience of children was dedicated for use. The special thing was that along with this station, soap facility will also be made available by the club for the next two years, so that children continue to get regular hygiene facilities.
During her address, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain appreciated this initiative of Rotary Club and said that developing the habit of hand washing among children is not only about cleanliness but also an important step towards good health. She said that availability of such facilities in schools, playgrounds and public places will increase awareness of cleanliness among children and will also help in prevention of diseases.
She appreciated the social service work being done by Rotary Club Hoshiarpur Mid Town and said that such efforts are an example of better coordination between administration and social organizations. She hoped that such projects related to public welfare will continue in the future as well.
