Chandigarh, July 27:- Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Mr. Vipul Goyal said that the objective of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting is to ensure quick and effective resolution of the problems of the common people. He directed the officers that the complaints received in the committee meetings should be resolved in a quality manner within the stipulated time and negligence will not be tolerated at any level.
Minister Mr. Vipul Goyal was presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee held at the hall located at the Mini Secretariat in Nuh on Monday. During the meeting, he resolved 11 complaints out of a total of 14 complaints on the spot, while three cases were postponed till the next meeting for necessary action and progress report.
He said that in two cases, the SIT constituted and ordered an investigation. On the complaint of Rajni of Tawru, an SIT led by SDM, DSP and CMO has been formed and on the complaint of Manisha, a resident of Rasoolpur, regarding misbehavior and molestation in the One Stop Center, an SIT led by DSP has been formed. The Minister has directed the concerned officers to complete the investigation within the stipulated time limit and submit the report.
Minister Vipul Goyal, while reviewing the complaints related to the Education Department in the meeting, directed the concerned officers including the District Education Officer to conduct a comprehensive inspection of all the schools in the district and submit the report within a month. He also directed to take necessary approvals to remove the deficiencies related to illegal occupation, boundary walls, power lines, transformers and other basic facilities on schools on priority basis and start the development work soon.
On the complaint of spread of cancer due to contaminated drinking water in village Regarh, the Minister said that no irregularities were found in the scientific examination of water sources and no symptoms of cancer were found in any of the 62 people suspected of having cancer in the health examination. He said that if any new fact comes to light in the future, it will be investigated impartially and necessary action will be taken.
During the review of health services, the Minister gave instructions for rationalization to ensure availability of doctors in the medical college and primary and community health centers. He said that in view of the increasing patients in the medical college, necessary steps will be taken after discussing with the Chief Minister to increase the capacity of the hospital and increase the number of beds.
