Hoshiarpur: Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain informed that the ongoing repair work at Level Crossing B-50, located at Hoshiarpur Mandi (Railway Mandi), could not be completed on schedule due to rain. Due to the weather, some technical and repair-related tasks remain pending, which require more time to be completed safely and efficiently.
She stated that, according to the concerned officials of SSE/Works/Jalandhar Cantt, Northern Railway, the essential repair work is underway. Prioritizing the safety of passengers and the general public, it has been decided to keep the B-50 crossing closed until June 2, 2026. The gate will be opened for traffic only after the completion of the repair work.
The Deputy Commissioner mentioned that the Railway Department is making all necessary efforts to complete the work as soon as possible to minimize inconvenience to the general public. She appealed to the citizens to use alternative routes during this period and to cooperate with the administration and the Railway Department.
Aashika Jain added that the Railway Department has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the public due to this technical situation arising from the rain. She assured that the gate will be opened for traffic safely as soon as the repair work is completed. Aashika Jain has urged the general public to maintain patience and follow safety instructions.
