Chandigarh, September 14: Rayat Bahra University was honored for its outstanding contributions in the fields of education, innovation, research, and social responsibility during the first-anniversary celebration of the Senior Journalists Forum.
The honor was conferred by the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria. The University's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, received the award on behalf of the Chancellor and Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group, S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, and the entire university family.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor emphasized the need for educational institutions, civil society, and the media to work together to tackle drug abuse, promote healthy lifestyles, and instill a sense of responsible citizenship among the youth.
On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar stated that the university has made significant strides in the fields of research, academic excellence, and innovation. He highlighted the university's efforts in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP), integrating artificial intelligence into education, and promoting initiatives related to education and social responsibility.
He remarked that this honor is a testament to the visionary leadership of Chairman S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra and his commitment to quality education, research, innovation, and social development. Expressing gratitude for the honor, the Vice-Chancellor reiterated the university's commitment to providing quality education and contributing to the welfare of society.
